Edoardo Carlucci
Policy Analyst, Sustainable Finance
Edoardo Carlucci is a policy analyst, specializing in sustainable finance within the Economic, Law and Policy program. His work covers policy development and research across a wide range of sustainable finance topics, with a particular focus on financing solutions for nature-based infrastructure (NBI) with the Nature-Based Infrastructure Global Resource Centre. Edoardo works on the development of Sustainable Asset Valuation (SAVi) assessments, developing economic and financial models for NBI projects, helping stakeholders make the case for NBI across the world. He also works on producing comprehensive financing analyses and strategies for sustainable transport assessments with the Infrastructure team.
Prior to joining IISD, Edoardo worked in retail financial protection as a Research and Policy officer at The European Federation of Investors and Financial Services Users (BETTER FINANCE). Here, he helped to research and shape policies on EU Sustainable Finance dossiers, such as EU sustainable finance disclosure regulation (SFDR), taxonomy, EU green bonds, and the EU ecolabel for retail financial products, as well as policies related to EU retail financial markets, corporate governance, and fintech.
Edoardo has an undergraduate degree in Economics, Finance, and Management with Law from Sapienza University in Rome, plus a master's degree in European Studies with a specialization in Economics from the Université Libre de Bruxelles (ULB). Currently based in Geneva, Edoardo speaks English, French, and Italian.
