Marco Guzzetti

Marco Guzzetti is an Associate at IISD and a Spatial Modeler at KnowlEdge Srl. He works with spatial models to map and value ecosystem services at different scales with the Nature-Based Infrastructure Global Resource Centre.
Prior to this role, Marco worked for various entities covering different topics. He was a project manager for the Lombardy Foundation of the Environment, where he focused on water scarcity and water reuse. Before this, he was employed at the European Parliament as an assistant to a Member of the European Parliament, focusing on the issues of plastic pollution and pesticides. He also worked for the Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific of the United Nations in Bangkok, where he had to evaluate the effectiveness and sustainability of projects focused on building disaster resilience.
Marco holds an MSc in Environmental Management from the University of Stirling and a BSc in Biology from the University of Milan.
Marco's native language is Italian, but he is also proficient in English and Spanish and is conversational in French. He is based in Valencia, Spain.
