Olaide Bankole

Junior Researcher

Olaide is a junior researcher with IISD’s Resilience program. His work focuses on supporting the National Adaptation Plan (NAP) Global Network, with a specific emphasis on data management for the NAP Trends platform

Before joining IISD, Olaide was a junior analyst at Statistics Canada, where he conducted metadata reviews for the Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) indicators, performed quality checks, and produced fact sheets to inform Canadians of progress in achieving the SDGs. His previous experience also includes managing COVID-19 data in Ottawa schools as a team lead and data entry and verification clerk at Ottawa Public Health. He has held a research associate position at the Centre for Public Policy Alternatives—a multidisciplinary think tank focused on evidence-based public policy research in Lagos, Nigeria. 

Olaide holds a master’s degree in agricultural economics from the University of Ibadan in Nigeria and a certificate in public policy analysis from the London School of Economics and Political Science. He is also a Certified ScrumMaster (CSM)He is based in Ottawa, Ontario.
